I can't really offer much advice (yet), but my lapraoscopy is scheduled for this Wednesday.
Endometriosis is genetically-linked in most cases. Also women that have a history of it within their families usually have a more aggressive form of the disease than their counterparts.
So far, my GYN is looking at my CF and possible endo as two separate issues. I also DO have adhesions and scar tissue due to prior abdominal surgeries. The endo diagnosis would be a new twist, plus it runs HIGH in my family.
As far as Lupron is concerned, it suppress the endo from growing back. Lupron is fine if you are not trying to conceive because it also stops your periods and ovulation from taking place. HOWEVER, many women report that it takes them up to 12 MONTHS to get their periods again BEFORE they can even start to try to conceive. For this reason, many women choose the birth control pill because most women have periods with ovulation return within only a few months! It really depends on what your long-term goals are.

I have one daughter, total surprise but my pride and joy. I had my IUD taken out in January because of cyst and pain. I just recently found out about the endo. Mind you I had a cyst show up 2 months after I had my IUD put in place. They found it on a stomach xray. It has become irritating I have been on constant pain pills. We had the IUD taken out for the pain, cyst, and we were going to try for number 2. 4 months later so such luck and everytime I go in its something new. However this doctor doesnt want to do the lapo because he said they may not even be able to see the endo. He offered up the deposhot, which messes with my ciruclation so is not a option. The pill but would be even longer than the lupron shot, and then the lupron shot. It throw me into menopause for 6 months and then I can go back to re-trying He said he would help with my pain, but the endo would never completely go away until I went in to full menopause. We would also have to stop trying for number 2. I am completely tore up of it, I feel useless in a sense. So my husband and I have been talking and I think we will give in until August, but I am still looking for answers.

It throw me into menopause for 6 months and then I can go back to re-trying He said he would help with my pain, but the endo would never completely go away until I went in to full menopause. We would also have to stop trying for number 2. I am completely tore up of it, I feel useless in a sense. So my husband and I have been talking and I think we will give in until August, but I am still looking for answers.

I also meant to say that all this pain and cyst was thought to be relater to my IUD. Now they are saying they think that both were the cause of my problems, and when I had my daughter the endo was brought on, but we were thinking it was the IUD.
