thanks. I hope we get this figured out I will call my dr. tomorrow and talk about this, I just can't keep watching him be miserable and havening a raw butt. As soon as I think I have a handle on it he has a blow out that stinks and he can only be naked for so long.

I used LOTS of triple paste on DS instead of regular diaper cream. And I'd usually give him two baths -- one in the morning and one at night just to give his butt a good soak and it was the only way to get all that butt paste off.

I never could figure out what normal poo was supposed to look like and the local doctors weren't concerned as long as he was maintaining 50th percentile in weight or better.

Sorry I'm not more of a help but it's soooo frustrating. Different factors involved -- never knew how much ds would eat, then teething issues, reflux, constipation... Ugh. At least when they're older than can tell you that they're NOT hungry or what they want to eat and at least in DS case he so proud of his output, he usually shows us what comes out. Assuming that WON'T be the case when the pre-teen years hit

When DS was a baby baby (still my baby at 17mos ), we were constantly changing enzymes and enzyme dosages. He would get on a new dose, then have trouble pooping and then it seemed like it was only a couple of days of normal poo until it was greasy and had to switch dosages/enzymes again.

Things have settled down a bit now that he is over a year. I think it not only takes time seeing what works best for each child, but that they're growing so fast at that age, and it's hard to keep up enzyme-wise.

You'll get through it - I know it can be frustrating.

Thanks for the support. I guess we will just have to go throug this for awhile. At least he is growing like a weed, his family dr. said to use an anti fungal cream, hope it will help.

Ratatosk, from what I have read my son sounds alot like yours did. I had googled alot of questions lately, and kept finding Q & A you had yourself, or you answered.

I am just glad their are other moms out there who can help out whenn you need answers
