enzyme question

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I read the fine print on the bottle of enzymes and it says they should be stored at a temp between 59-77. Does anyone know if they are less effective if not stored at the correct temp? We order meds from cf services and the enzymes come with the pulmozyme which is packed with an ice pack in a cooler. I've noticed Lili has a lot more floating poops lately and was just trying to figure out why.

Totaly can effect the efficacy of the meds. If you ever have questions like this, reference the Prescribing Information that comes with the medication (or go to the medication's website and download it). All the answers to this type of info are located there.

But this is precisely why there is a temperature range - if efficacy wasn't affected, there would be no need to print the temperature range.

I would smack CF Services over the head. They should know better (although I'm not surprised... they don't seem like the brightest company...)

I would also recommend looking into upping her enzyme intake. From what I recall, I was constantly adjusting enzymes at that age because I was growing and therefore always eating more and more food. Also, pancreatic insufficiency can change over time as the pancreas becomes more scarred.
