Enzymes and Birth Control Pills

Quick question.....

If someone is not properly taking there enzymes and is taking birth control pills, will the birth control pills still work properly?

I am assuming if you are not taking your enzymes, you are not completely digesting what you swallow, so the birth control pills will not be completely absorbed and will not be as affective......right?

It really all depends on your body- and I guess to what degree you have malabsorption, but my doctor has always told me to make sure that I am taking my enzymes regularly and to have the birth control during a meal (with the enzymes) for a more "guaranteed" protection. This goes with other medications too....such as vitamins, ect. (At least for my body I need too <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">)

I've always heard that you only need to take enzymes when eating, but not with things with no nutritional value. I think the above statement would be a good idea though. It would be best to take it during a meal, that way you get a good guarantee <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I hadn't really thought about this, but it makes me wonder if I ought to make sure I take my oral antibiotics (Zithromax and Septra DS) when eating with enzymes...
