hey!

i take usually 5 MT20s with meals...unless i eat something like a lot of pizza, then i would have 6. i don't think there's a limit to how many you can take, at least i've never heard that. i think it just depends on what your individual needs are. i know there are some people who take a handfull of enzymes -- not sure the strength but i know it's a lot.

good luck at your clinic appointment and i'm glad your bleeding stopped.

Wheezie,
Pancrease Mt20 and Ultrase MT20's are the same strength but different manufactures.
I have tried the Pancrease MT20 and they dont work for me at all. Then I was switched to Ultrase and it works much better for me. I think it just all depends on the person. Hope this helps!

Oh and also as long as your bowel movements are fine, your weight is thriving and your tummy aches are minimal then your enzymes should be working fine at the dose you are taking. If you are having probs with any of those things then maybe an adjustment could be suggeste to your dr.

It was said before in many threads:

The amount of enzyms you need depends:
1. On you in person, how your pancreas still works or not, therefore it can also increase and sometimes decrease
2. How many fat your food/snacks contain; so unless your food is the same every day, you should not take the same amount of enzyms every day, you have to adapt them to what you eat

I use Kreon 10000, 25000 and 40000. Years ago I did only take 1-2 Kreon 10000 for meals and nothing for snacks and it was ok. Now I need much more. I did eat shrimps in garlic oil yesterday for lunch and took 5 x Kreon 40000 plus 1 x Kreon 25000 for it. As I have just been to the toilet that seemed to be ok...
