DS didn't put stuff in his mouth so much when he was a baby, but when he was older. A couple years ago he told me he found GUM!!! on the playground. Bleah! Not much I could do about it after the fact. Cringe! And I still get after him for putting his mouth on counters, display windows and grocery cart handles at stores. I always wipe down the carts with the wipes the store provides, but ewww!

I really just lurk but Mommafirst's comment made me laugh and I just had to comment. When oldest DS was just under a year, I left him alone in the family room for literally 2 minutes (baby proofed room or so I thought). When I came back, he had a black LIZARD hanging out of his mouth! The head was hanging out one side, the tail out the other. Don't ask me how he CAUGHT the thing and stuffed it in his mouth that quick. I have no clue! Our cat must have dragged it in from the garage through the dog door. That DS does not have CF so that wasn't an issue but it was still extremely gross, LOL!
