I am almost 2 years post and I am in the process of training for a triathlon. . . nothing seems to stand in my way except just building up endurance. I was extremely week and loss most all my muscle tone and any fat I had on my body I gained the weight back quickly, but the muscle has taken much more time. You should be able to pretty much do whatever you decide you want to after transplant (after 4-6 months anyway) I was only 3-4 months post when I got the green light to ride my horse again. . . I was reminded to be careful however It's a fabulous feeling. . .to run until your LEGS get tired, not your lungs!
