i would recommend swimming as opposed to running, firstly cos swimming tones ya whole body and is a great areobic workout for the lungs, and secondly cos its easier on the joints and there is less chance of a injury

Would you go run/walking today if you were me?
Last night I started getting the tight heavy chest and body aches and chills. I am not feeling awful yet, but I sure don't feel good. Should I go running in hopes that I "clear" out the infection somehow?
This is the first time I am getting sick since starting working out heavily about 7 weeks ago so I don't really know what to do. I doubt I will just "get over it" with rest; I never do, so I guess I should run to test the opposite theory?
Any thoughts?

Melissa,
I would push yourself and just get outside -- just walk at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You don't have to go long, even if you are outside for 5-10 minutes. That should be enough to even boost your mood. I find myself that if I am feeling blah and don't feel like going outside, pushing myself just to walk outside makes me feel better despite continued body aches.

It might help produce an expectorant effect and clear secretions.

Good luck! ~Jenn

Greatest FEV1 increase with exercise!!!

Guatemala was closed due to suspicions of child trafficking, allegations that are beginning to be proven correct. It will NEVER be what it was previously. Technically, its open for adoptions now. But, any new adoptions will be processed under the new system that is supposed to combat the corruption and child trafficking issues. Since no child has yet to go through the new government run process, no one is yet sure whether it will really eventually smooth out and allow adoptions to continue, or whether it will do what reforms have done in other Latin nations such as Honduras, which is to essentially shut down all adoptions though not legally closing the door entirely.

We've adopted twice internationally and currently waiting for permission to finally finalize our foster-adopt placement. We're 1.5 months from the required 6 months custody to finalize his adoption.
