I have been having a lot of sinus problems lately (weather I'm sure).
So do you think I should go to clinic? I don't want to go for nothing (especially if its just a sinus thing).
I feel great, I don't feel like I need a tune up. I just don't want to do more damage than anything.

get allergy tested (not blood IgE but skin tested).

then get a HEPA filter, cover your pillows & matress with encasings if you have dust mite allergies, and take an anti-histamine .that will help your sinuses tremendously

I always got that with pseudo when I had bad flair ups. When it was just starting to flair up I could 'feel it' and then smell it. After a while when the flair up 'peaked' others could smell it.
But that's just me.

Hi Kelli and pooh!!!! just kidding, im sure others would have told you honestly if you had bad breath.
I know the only time i've noticed a yucky taste/smell in my mouth from 'deep down' was when i culturing staph....i don't culture staph anymore and my particular pseudos and cepacia seem to not be overly smelly ones thankfully, i too get totally paranoid about having bad breath!!
Another suggestion if you think it's your sinuses, is try NeilMed Sinus Rinse set and use 3 sachets of solution rather than one to make it hypertonic. I find it works wonders for my sinuses, although i've never really had huge sinus problems (i didn't think i did anyway!!!!) after one of these rinses the gunk that comes out is quite amazing!!!! Give it a whirl, they're also excellent for allergy sufferers.

I had an old boyfriend who used to swear that he could tell when someone in his family, or a close friend, was sick just by walking in the room (a small room of course, like a bedroom) and the way it smelled! None of these people had CF. He just had a sensitive nose I guess.

Both of my girls' breath smells horrible during sinus infections!!!

Poopy breath here.
I do have a sinus rinse thing that I bought on the internet. Maybe I'll mix up some salt mixture and give my nose a good old douche. I'll see if a turd comes out.
hehehehe

The source of the smell could be 1 of 3 things:

1. bacteria buildup in the lungs; check your sputum color and thickness
2. Sinus infection; this may also be present with sore teeth, since the sinuses and the teeth are connected
3. Crazy high blood sugar. The buildup of acetone in a diabetic's body presents itself as a noticeable taste and smell. Although it's far less common with CFRD, it's not unheard of to have breath that smells somewhat fruity or strong, like nail polish remover.

Option 1 is the most likely culprit. Perhaps a large mucous plug has moved and that's why you're tasting it on your breath. I'm in the middle of a tune-up myself at present, and I've noticed the same thing now that some of the gunk in my lungs has been broken apart.
