So my daughter is on her "liquid gold" antibiotics. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> Went to fill the script and I guess our insurance co computer was down the whole day. The pharmacy we go to is a family pharmacy(for the particular antibiotic). They let us pick up one bottle out of 4 that we need for the script cause the insurance company was not available to say if it was ok for us to fill.
My husband went to pick up the bottle and they made us set up an account to cover this anti for $2400 or so. It really unnerved my hubby to say the least. THings turned out ok cause the next day the computers were back up and of course the health insurance co covered the rest of the med for a $20 copay.
My son saw the bill for the bottle of anti's and his face was incredulous. I looked at him and being the nerd I am I had him figure out cost per dose of this med; always wanting to use the math skills<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> We looked at my daughter and said you just swallowed $80.
Now they know why I never spill a drop of this stuff and measure it out in a syringe when dosing.
