Extra calories/Glucerna shakes

A few days back there was a post about additional foods or products to use to gain/maintain weight, but for someone with CFRD. I posted that my husband has CF but not CFRD (although borderline and requires diabetic monitoring) and he really likes the boost plus shakes, especially when on the go (Ensure is the same thing but just more expensive, also safeway/vons has their own brand that is the same quality and content but less expensive.

Well, I posted out of the blue about glucerna shakes but I didn't to much research and someobody said they thougt it was for people trying to loose weight. I though that sounded about right, but I decided it check it out when we were at the store tonight anyways. I discovered there is one geared towards weight loss and Diabetes-the entire GLUCERNA line is for diabetics, but there is also one that is just a nutritional supplement for diabetics. I have posted the link to where you can view the nutritional information online. You can also go to www.glucerna.com to look around. Hope this helps a bit!!

No he didn't stop them, he uses the boost shakes when he is on the run and such. The Serious mass is usually for immediately after his workout and sometimes first thing in the morning.
