Extra home health supplies

I'm curious to know what all of you do with your extra home health supplies. My home care pharmacy always sends me way too much stuff, ie syringes, leverlocks, dressing changes, things of that nature, even when I tell them I don't need it. Once the stuff is delivered, the pharmacy won't take them back out of concern that it has been "tampered with." After years of doing home health you can imagine what a collection I have! I was just wondering if there were any places that might take the donation, since everything is still in its oringinal packaging. It seems like a waste for me to just throw it in the trash, especially when I know people without good insurance could use it.

Have you tried checking with your local CF clinic? I was in the same boat, and the CF clinic WELCOMED the extra stuff to handout to under/uninsured patients.

I brought mine back to the hospital pharmacy...

Try checking with a local church. I have that problem with my son like them sending wrong stuff.

I give mine to the local free clinic, they are always greatful for donations.
