We are super excited this morning we are meeting with Combined Insurance this afternoon to get an insurance quote to help us pay for the surgeries, hospital stays, and ER visits! I will have to let you all know if they are still letting people with CF in the door. Just curious has anyone recently, within the last month or so, got on with them? The last posts I saw were from July. Any advice or tips we could get before tonight would be great. And Julie thank you for turning us on to this...what a life saver this will be if we can get insured!!

We met with him last night and got signed up!!! So excited!!! Our cost for the whole family(mom, dad and 2 kiddos) is $143 per month. I just figured out what I would have gotten back in prior years and am so excited. I have to share! In 2009 we would have got $7,125! In 2010 we would have got $2,500! In 2011 so far we would have got $4,650! Which I pray she doesn't get sick anymore this year! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> And the total cost per year is $1,716! This could have helped us so much and took so much of a strain of when we really needed it! Julie I cannot thank you enough for posting on here!! And anyone else who has multiple hospital stays or surgeries you need to check into it before they get wise to the CF kids!! We were up front and told them that she had CF the moment we sat down and thank goodness they had not jumped on the band wagon yet!! Today is going to be a good day, I already have so much peace of mind. Now if the VX770 & VX809 will come on and be a success like it sounds like won't that be wonderfull too!!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I just bought 3 plans with them: accident and sickness; accident only; cancer insurance (must buy before diagnosed). CFers don't qualify for their disability insurance.. The sickness only pays for hospitalization. it is great to have. i have a mild case of CF and since they don't know my prognosis i decided to buy it all - in case. I pay $84 per month for all 3 plans.

I did the search...and it's all about Combined Insurance being a huge scam. For those of you who signed up, please confirm with your state's BBB to make sure that you've signed on with a reputable company.<br><br>If not, please let the CFF know about it. If this company is as bogus as it seems to be, based on what's online, they should know about it.<br>
