Benjamin used to be on progestimil. It was hard to find, I would always get nervous when we were running low. He now is back on enfamil with lipil. He did progestimil from about 4 weeks old till about 3 and a half months old. It's really expensive for what you get, I found it cheaper at the following website...http://www.babywuvinc.com/. Benjamin does much better now with his formula and he rarely gets a hard belly anymore. (He's 5 months now) When he was first born he could not digest the formula. He was also on antibiotics right away for a bacteria they found so the dietician told us that could of been causing his stomach tightness. Oh and by the way, insurance did not cover progestimil.

I think dh and I have decided to stick to the goats milk, unless it starts causing issues I just don't see the benefit in changing something that works. they did this with my dd's milk allergy and they didn't understand that she was allergic to whey, not lactose. I almost wonder if he also may have this allergy and that is why he acted that way and it wasn't entirely cf to blame. I listened to the dr.'s with dd for 6 months and after her being miserable and in pain I decided enough was enough and I know better to let it go on that long with him.

I did call the clinic and asked what that culture was they just said it was staph and nothing to worry about and it didn't need treated. am I to assume it is staph aureus?

Yes, you can assume it is staph aureus. I would still ask to get a copy of the culture results

Also, I think that over time, as you and your clinic get to know each another, things should get easier. It does take a little while to develop a relationship and for you to set your expectations with them as to how you want to be kept abreast. I think asking for results will make them understand how important all of this is to you and that you will be double checking everything.

Good luck with the weight gain. Sounds like you are doing a great job!
