Failed to qualify for vertex, try again?

3 weeks ago, I tried to qualify for a Vertex study but my FEV1 was only 37% instead of the required 40%. Can I try again? Has anyone else failed to qualify and then got a second chance after IV treatment?

Hi Jeana,

Were you below your baseline at your screening visit? Are you back up above 40 when you do PFTs in clinic? If so, I definitely think it's worth asking the research coordinator that you screened with if you can be re-screened.

PS. Can I ask which trial? I'm in the Kalydeco/661 trial for those with residual function mutations.
