*Sigh*
I'm so use to drama that this isn't really phasing me. I knew I had a 50/50 shot. When I came in the room with the results, Jake was sitting on the sofa watching TV. I said, "Well, I failed another test..." His response, "You're kidding, right?" My response, "Nope." He felt so bad...
Fasting Status: 99 NORMAL (65-99)
Glucose, 1st Hour: 263 HIGH (under 200)
Glucose, 2nd Hour: 200 HIGH (65-99)
A1C: 5.8 (HIGH NORMAL)
My glucose monitor is WAYYYYY off too! It said my fasting sugar was 112, which would have made me worse than I actually was (99). The doctor will have to order me a new one. This monitor from Ascensia is a piece of crap. Any suggestions on a good one?
The endocrinologist placed me on Metformin for the PCOS; however, Met doesn't work for Type 1 diabetes. I'm not too sure what is going to happen there...Met only works for Type 2. Unless, you can be on both Met and insulin shots??? The idea of insulin shots is new to me; however, my sister has been on shots since she was 12.
We'll see what the doctors say...I got the test results mailed to me yesterday so I'm sure the phone will be ringing today at some point. The lab sent me a copy for fasting comparison purposes only. Although, they have known me for years...
