Hi Nightwriter, thanks for all the information re the supplements you take. It would be great if you could direct me to your posts. My situation sounds very similar to how you were. My health really declined this year. At the moment my FEV1 is 26% and it will not move even though I am doing everything possible in terms of antibiotics, meds, physio exercise etc. I am also getting infection after infection. I have also PA. Asthma plays a big part in my CF but I am not sure how well this is being treated by the Docs. Your information would be invaluable.
It is great to hear other stories as I thought I was the only CF with these problems ha ha<img src="">
Thanks

Hi Jersey,

I was going to respond to you in a private message, but maybe other people are interested too. I suppose someday I'll do a blog or a website for easy referral.

I know your frustration. I've been at the crossroads where the infections won't stop, FEV1 is in a rapid decline, antibiotics stop working, and in my case an increase in bleeding. I kept searching, trying all sorts of things especially alternative. But for me it took finding a doctor (M.D.) who treated me as a whole person, not just a pair of sick lungs. In other words: what in my life was contributing to my demise? The doctor said to me, "Look, I don't know if I can help you. But I think I can. There is always from for improvement." And to be honest, I was skeptical. Previously, I heard a lot of promises of improvement from a chiropractor, a doctor of Chinese medicine, a "diet" coach, an alternative M.D., and on and on. Some "remedies" leading to devastating consequences.

But for me, the doctor I found was the one who helped me. And I like sharing what I learned so that people could either discuss some of these things with their own doctors or seek other doctors who are open minded. The biggest mistake that people make is staying too long with a doctor or clinic when you are stuck with treatments that aren't helping.

When I started writing this to you and I checked my list of posts, I plugged them into the search engine and not all of them are coming up. So I want to make sure that I have each thread referenced in a way that you can find them. As soon as I get the posts sorted out I will post them. I wanted to get back to you now, so that you know I have seen this post. Also know you can PM me if you have further questions.
