Fat/calorie pills?

It would be nice to be able to take a pill (or few) that consists mainly of fats but also has vitamins, maybe some protein. Basically, something to "boost" foods that aren't fatty already.

Does something like this exist?

I think the issue would be the size the pills would have to be to contain an appreciable amount of fat. The most concentrated form of fat, I believe, is oil... and you need a tablespoon of it to get 120 calories.

MCT fat (the most easily absorbed by those with cf and often used to help gain weight in our supps) comes in powdered form and pills though... however, from what I can find, it's marketed as a weight loss product. I am not sure how much oil can actually be dehydrated or compressed into a pill (again, due to the volume of oil required to equal a given number of calories) but you may want to look into it at a health food store or online.

Well, your digestive system, kidneys and such need water to break down what you eat and eating very concentrated doses of calories and proteïne can be a bit rough on them. With cf one should feel a little sorry for them already. So the current solutions of energy shakes really aren't that bad, else you have to up your intake of water and then you don't really win anything.
I use Resource 2.0 fibre myself which tastes pretty good (to the point i sometimes look forward to them ) and has 400 kcal and 18 grams of proteïne per 200ml..not bad. Other then that I sometimes use Calshake powder but doesn't really have proteïne, but..by way of experiment you could empty a bunch of Creon capsules or something and fill'em up..
