We go to CT Children's Medical Center (Central CT CF Center) and I LOVE it there. I don't have enough good things to say about them there! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

The clinic is very clean, you NEVER wait in the waiting room, they are organized and prompt with call-backs. They are involved with trials, very proactive and compassionate. I work well with two of the drs in particular... I appreciate both their approach to care and the fact that they want the parents to be an educated part of the team. Doctors that expect parents to 'shut up and follow orders' really irritate me and that would be especially unacceptable with a disease like cf! Their statistics are amazing (check them out on the cff site) so that gives me added confidence in their care for my child~ obviously their methods yield good results for the kids to be doing so well there.

I am so glad to hear so many positive experiences. I have been getting the boys records together and just overwhelmed with how much there is to follow. I need to be able to trust and worry a lot less. I have been miserable!!!

Thanks everyone,
Laura

That is too bad regarding Albany, my kids loved the one doctor at the Ped clinic there, in fact when my daughter was pregnant she wanted to stay under Dr K and in her mind he was going to be her OB doctor too. Finally weaned her off and I know he is no longer there not sure who took his place. Both my kids now see the adult doctor and they like them , there is maybe 1 of the doctors not a fan of . Sometimes I think doctors are so quick to jump on medication band wagon . I have heard John Hopkins is good but do not know from any personal experience. Twin boys god bless you bet they keep you busy

We have only been to Tulane Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana. His care team is awesome and very friendly. They are such helpful, caring people and always do anything they possibly can to help us. They are highly encouraging and I always feel free of strees and worry after we visit with them. They make me feel so good about what we are doing to keep Kaleb healthy. We have direct phone numbers to each of his care team members and if we leave a message they always call us back as soon as possible. I thank God for them and how wonderful they are to us and Kaleb.

We went to John Hopkins and it was awesome. For the first time we have been taught the chest compressions and will be doing them twice a day. Very pleased that we are being pro active and stalling this disease. We also will be doing the vitamins. Thanks for all the support.
