I got a letter from my doc the other day saying that the FDA has asked all enzyme to re-apply for approval and the deadline is at the end of this month. So far, only two have gotten a re-approval, which doesn't include mine (Pancrecarb), this is the only enzyme that Ive been on that actually worked for me! Has anyone else heard about this? The doc said hed work with me to get me a prescription for another type of enzyme, but what if it doesn't work for me? What is everyone else doing?

I just got this same letter today about my daughters! Ashlee takes Pancreacarb, and that one has not been FDA approved yet. Her doctors have not said anything about it to me. I am going to have to call there and see what we are supposed to do. It does say they will work with us to switch enzymes, but exactly...what if they don't work for her? She has just gotten to where they want her on the chart, now we gotta put her through changing meds. I am not very happy either...

We were made aware of the FDA approval issue a few months ago. Ellie has tried Pancrease and Creon. Creon didn't work for her...Pancrease does and it's one of the enzymes that isn't approved. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
