Hi - maybe your doc may have meant that kids with <b><i>undiagnosed</i></b> CF, who aren't getting any nutrition from the food they are eating since they are not on enzymes, are ravenous. Assuming of course that they are pancreatic insufficient.
Anyway, our daughter certainly ate ALL the time prior to diagnosis, yet kept getting skinnier and skinner, except for her belly. Now she has an appetite like any kid - eats a lot sometimes and is picky at other times. And, I'm sorry to say, you will go from examining the diaper to examining the potty contents. Enzyme dosage can be so touchy-feely. Our daughter seems to have most of her BM's during the day at school, so we've been working on a reporting system where she tells me if it was big, little, floated, or sank.
