Been there! Great book - Child of Mine by Ellyn Satter. It really helped me with feeding my 2nd with cf after my first with cf had so many problems with eating. You can get it on Amazon.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 7 and Jack, 5 both with cf

Pam, He is drinking the Pediasure... when our clinic had me stop formula, they advised me to substitute with Pediasure as he has never really eaten well.. Im kind of stuck with trying to cut back on the Pediasure at night, because if we do that and he still doesn't eat during the day then he's get even less calories...

Liza and Sarah thanks for the meal ideas... I feel guilty when I offer him a yogurt or pudding in place of a meal, but I feel better knowing I am not the only one.

And Sharon, I will definitely be checking out that book.

Thanks

I found some high calorie whole milk yogurt -- there's yo-baby and some other brands, also greek yogurt has a lot of fat and calories -- I found a brand that has about 270 per container othewise, I'd add a dollop of cream to it.

Also, I know we're supposed to let them be independent and let them feed themselves, but I'd give DS a spoon, but would still shovel in the food myself as well.

And apparently he ate well for daycare. Peer pressure? Or maybe there were just calmer and more nonchalant that I was -- was probably less stressful for him. For the most part ate whatever the other kids were eating, though from time to time he'd go thru a phase where he wouldn't eat and then I WOULD send some pediasure.

Some days I swear the kid would just prefer having some ice cold water and carrot sticks for a meal. Sigh!

I Know where you're coming from... my daughter still doesn't like to eat. I'd love to recommend favorites, but they change daily. What she loves one day, she won't touch for the next 2 weeks. Sorry I can't offer any help... but I can sympathize!
