Hi there,

Yesterday I posted another question on enzymes (Zenpep). This is going to be our third enzyme we are trying. For the last six months we have tried everything to help my sons diarrhea. It's been three to four poopy diapers a day. I kept calling clinic saying " I don't think the enzymes are working". Only to try a new brand change the way I give Prevacid. Pulling my hair out with feeding him a super high calorie meal or Skandi Shake only to have him poop it out ten minute's later. The answer I got from clinic was maybe his body just can't tolerate that much fat. Soooo confused! I thought I was doing something wrong maybe to much olive oil maybe too much Carnation. Lost for answers.

Well, yesterday they decided that they were all in agreement that it was time to find out if Johnny had milk allergies our lactose intolerant. This has never been disgussed with us. I never thought of it because we were doing fine with milk from year 1- year 2 with whole milk. So, we are off milk/dairy until Monday to see if we see improvement.

I feel terrible I guess I was so busy with adding all this stuff to his milk. I just blamed all the poopy diapers on CF.

Yesterday we switched to Soy Milk...only ONE poopy diaper since. Just had to share! Any tips on how to boost up Soy Milk!

Thanks for reading me typeJ Guilt never ends.....Motherhood..Good Times!

The important thing is you figured out what was wrong and kept working with your clinic until you got answers. Tht makes you the Best Mom, not the worst mom! Good job advocating for your child until you figured out what the problem was!

Baaah! I blame the doctors Usually that's the first thing they test for when there are issues. At least you know now and the issue has been corrected. Besides with all the things we mom's deal with, have to remember... We can't think of everything. I USED to be a highly organized individual. Nowdays... Not so much.

Aw poor Johnny!! Don't blame yourself -- the doctors should have looked at this a long time ago, you've been saying it wasn't working for a LONG time. (((HUGS))) I hope this makes a good difference. I have no idea how to up the cals -- we've been using polycose added to things, maybe you can ask the nutritionist if it is soy friendly.
