Just feeling a little down today.  My daughter has had a cough since 1st week of August; we've done some Bactrim; then went to some Duricef, 9 days into that she was wheezing this morning.  <div><br></div><div>I called and I am bringing her in for PFT's, culture, and doc to listen to her...The wheezing this am settled down after her albuterol.</div><div><br></div><div>Just feeling sorry for my daughter and myself....School started in a few days.....We should be school shopping not running to the doctor<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"></div><div><br></div><div>We'll see what the doc says.  My daughter has no fever, excellent appetite. In fact, my son (13) was giving me a hard time about all the meds my daughter takes when she's"fine"</div><div><br></div><div>Just needed to play my little violin........Now it's time for that hour and half ride to the docs.</div>

So sorry. Hopefully they'll get her figured out.

I hate that helpless feeling -- not knowing what's causing it, unable to fix it.

I know this feeling and it is such a defeated frustration. Does Maggie have asthma as well? Since the wheeze responded to the albuterol, it kinda sounds like she might. Has she been allergy tested? Maybe her cough is allergy/asthma stuff instead of CF stuff????? Just throwing it out there, I know that sounds awfully optimistic, but it would be nice if the answer was more simple.

Well, we are back..Her Pft's were not as good as usual. Her sat was good and lungs were clear. So, she got recultured and he put her on Prednisone for 5 days...keep her on the current antibiotic she's on...If her cultures shows her bad bug or something different we'll have a new plan.

Maggie does have inflammatory issues; so she's on Pulmicort...So it goes.
