I never had ovulation pain to hurt bad. When I get a mild cramp, I can tell if I am ovulating and I also see a discharge on one day. That is usually five days before my period.

I would go to the doctor. It could be your bowels.

The pain is gone now. It only lasted 2 days and I feel so much better today. I thought it could be a cyst because I've had quite a few on my ovaries. I've been on the pill for them before. I also had one to rupture before. That was probably the most painful thing I've experienced. I found out it was a cyst when I went to the ER. But anyways, thanks for all the info.

I read somewhere actually that when you ovulate, you can sometimes feel the ovary rupture where the egg comes out, and it can be quite painful, so that may very well be what you're feeling. I've definately felt it before.

I don't ovulate because I'm on birth control, but every once in a while I'll still get that pain at that time of my cyle. It can hurt pretty bad. It feels like my ovary is trying crawl out of my abdoman. The last time it happened it hurt so bad that I had to crawl into bed with a hot pack to get any relief.
