My temp is low too and I think my dr said at '99 degrees' I need to be making some phone calls.
Sometimes though, I will be sick in the night and have 102 or 103 fevers but they are gone by morning.
Good question though.

My temp is around 97 in the morning, but the good ol' 98.6 or so the rest of the time. My Dr. hasn't said anything like that, so I don't know. If it's not 100, I don't consider myself to have a fever<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">.

My dd usually has a high fever which sits around 37.5 degrees cels , whci is normal for her but ut is usually regarded as a little on the high side. Her docs say that they think its due to allergies. So, she will be having an alergy test at her next clinic visit.

"normal" for me has always been 97.5. i wonder why temperature might normally run lower for CFers? you'd think it would be higher what with the (almost) constant infections we have.

I also am one of those whose temp is on the low side. Generally speaking, anything between 99.5 and 100.5 is a "low grade fever".

Even though CFers are prone to infections, we don't always have the symptom of a fever. This is especially true for people who have poor circulation or low blood pressure (mine for example is around 88/56, so I'm always cold) or for people whose O2 sats are lower.

In any given day, the body's temperature can fluctuate between 97 and 102--and that's without illness or fever. Just ask the gals who are trying to get preggers and I'm sure they can tell you all the amazing ways the body temp changes at certain times of the day, week month.

Guys' temps are more stable than the gals, but they tend to be overall higher. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable to married couples. The husbands tend to prefer only a sheet for coverage, while the wives want to be all tucked in with an extra blanket.

That's probably more info than you were looking for, but I thought you'd find it interesting and useful nonetheless.

Stay "cool" everyone!
