Oh and that last post is not me dissing on GSH, i'd love to get on a regimen of it. There is just no way I could afford that in the long haul, especially with me only working part time now.

And regarding the oregano oil, just search around on here, I have posted tons of information on it. Let me know if you can't find anything.

Is GHS the same as Fizzy NAC? (Sorry, having temporary amnesia today <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> ).

Also for Sue: I tell my doc about everything I'm taking; my thought is, whether he agrees with me or discourages it, it's best for him to know everything I'm on (and to have it in the computer at my hospital) in case some new med he wants to prescribe interacts with it or if I am incapacitated in the ER or something - our docs may not always be happy with our choices, but if they do not have full information from us, they cannot do their jobs properly.

"Fizzy Nac" Is "Pharmanac", which is a brand name of a high medical grade NAC that you put in water and it fizzes like an alkaseltzer. It's a very strong anti-inflammatory, and it's the precursor to glutathione forming in our bodies/lungs. It's the stuff that the CFF is doing research on now to see what levels are best for us etc. There are some people on here who know much more about it than me.

And speaking of which, has anyone heard anything new on this or GSH from an offical CF research perspective yet? It seems we get the "Hey they are doing research on (fill in the blank)" but we rarely get an update.

GSH is reduced glutathione and many CF's are inhaling the buffered stuff, or taking it in pill form and reporting good results. From what I have heard glutathione is very low in our bodies, and if we get out levels up to a normal persons, we can have the good results that were reported by someone else regarding recent research on this stuff. Also, some feel taking a high grade NAC (not exposed to air) does the same thing, or maybe works better than just taking the GSH.

As for oregano oil, theres a ton of info on here I have posted before. Search for it, i'm sure you will find what you are looking for.
