Anne - Thanks for the encouragement. He said that if my appendix hadn't burst, he wouldn't expect my tubes to be so badly scarred and blocked. It was the fact that it burst. I wish so badly that it had been caught sooner. It's amazing how something that happened in 1994 (I was 12) can come back and bite you in the *** 13 years later, isn't it?

You know...I was reflecting on that time and I stated how I had no pain. Well, that might be slightly off. I always had pain down there. I got my first period when I was exactly 12-years-old. At that time, I had a cyst on my left ovary, periods that lasted 14 days, and VERY HEAVY periods. I would run to the bathroom every 2 hours and have frequent accidents at night while sleeping. I had lots of pain and was doubled over quite frequently. That is why I saw my Mom's GYN doctor. They would place me on and off the pill for 2 years before leaving me on it. The whole appendix and colon crap happened in the middle of it all.

So yes, I had lots of pain but for me it was nothing new. I learned to live on Advil and not move for at least the first 5 days of my period. I missed a lot of kid stuff too because of it like pool parties.

Hey, when I tell you that my early teens were a trainwreck, I mean it. I would NEVER want to go back. NEVER. From 12 to 16 could drop off the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned. All I remember was the 3 months it took me to be able to sit up without support after the colon surgery since all my stomach muscles were cut. I lived on Perocet, TPN feedings (to regain the weight that I lost), IV antibiotics, and you name, I was on it. Going to school on TPN feedings wasn't too amuzing. The surgery was actually done on my 16th birthday. Lucky wasn't I? Friends from school visited me with a birthday cake, and I couldn't have any of it. I missed 60 days of school that year but still managed high honor roll. Anyway....

As far as the HSG, that's the bloodtest done on cycle Day 2-3, right Anne? I have an appointment for that bloodtest on August 3rd. I should be either Day 2-3. I'm pretty predictable. If not, I call and move it. I'm due August 1st. Thanks again for your story. At least it gives me some hope...Thank you!<img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

wow, I'm really glad you went in or you two could just keep "practicing" for forever! Hopefully the tests will give some guidance as to what needs to be done next. I feel your frustration. It just isn't fair.... keep us posted though, I'm curious to know how the tests go.
