Hello Charlie!!! Welcome!

Its all about attitude. We have to play the hand that we are given even if it is CF. Keep fighting we do not want CF to win. For myself I have had and continue to have a great life. There have been some bumps in the road but I do not know of anyone that has not had some tough times.
Be sure that you are well hydrated before you start your neb. Rx. that is what I do, just a suggestion to you. By the way I will be 60 in Feb. this coming yr.

Hey there,

Welcome to the site. I completely get the feeling down about the state of things. I had a very hard time pre transplant with depression issues - some days were fantastic other days I would just look at myself in the mirror and wonder how much longer I would let this "crap" go on. The lack of energy is frustrating and the limited physical ability is irritating especially when you have so much to offer mentally. At least that is how I felt about things.

I was transplanted in May of this year and things have been looking up for me and I have had a fantastic run with things since surgery - though there have still been some adjustments to the new way of life. I do understand your not wanting transplant to some extent though - it was at times a difficult decision for me to make but once I settled on a decision it was full steam ahead I guess you could say.

I truly hope you find your nitch here and that you enjoy getting to know everyone here ... I look forward to getting to know you better as well.

Take Care of yourself and if you ever want to chat - check out the chat room it normally gets pretty busy at night - or feel free to message us.

Take Care,
Lindsey

Hi Charlie! Welcome. I'm a mom to 2 CF boys so I can't speak for a CFer but wanted to say hello. I'm from MA too (kingston). Good idea others have had to start a blog so we can get to know you better and so you have a place to vent. I'm glad you found the site!
