Both of my children were hospitalized for pneumonia around 3 or 4 months old. Then it was 4 years (pneumonia again)before my son was hospitalized and 5 years (surgery)for my daughter. My daughter never has had pnuemonia again. So my kids stablilized after having a difficult first few months. We do live close (10 minutes) to the hospital. Also, our parents help out with the kids. The hospital stay is stressful, but it really helps get the kids back to no coughing.
