Awwww! The dogs are definitely cute, but you don't look bad either <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">. I'm jealous, the last time I was in the hospital I was told that the pet therapy was done by child life and it was only for kids! GRRRRR. To be honest it really upset me. I guess they don't think that an adults day would be brightened by a visit from a pet? I told them I really wanted to see them and they said they'd see what they could do but I never once got a visit or heard anything about it again! Anyway, sorry rant over! I'm just glad you had these cute pups come visit you!
On another note, I'm glad things seem to be going smoothly so far. I don't mean to be rude or a downer but I'm wondering why they didn't have a PICC placement set up, so that you didn't have to start with a peripheral. I seem to remember you saying that this admission was planned almost a month in advance so I wish they could have timed it better for you. I have a port now, but I used to make sure if I was being admitted I started out with an appointment in Interventional Radiology to have my PICC placed so I didn't have to mess with those pesky and painful peripherals. My peripherals often blew with the first dose of antibiotics. I hope yours lasts you until you can get your PICC.
Good luck to you Haley! I hope your stay goes as well as possible and goes by quickly! Are you staying the whole time?
