Hi Leah,

Consistency came around 20 weeks for me. I felt them before that, but it wasn't consistent. My uterus was stretched a lot bigger than a singleton by 20 weeks though, so maybe that's why I felt so much by then? 20 week is also the first time DH felt the babies kick. We were at a wedding, sitting in the sun and I think it warmed them up! They started squirming around so much, I was able to get DH to feel them move for the first time.

About maternity clothes, my advice is, buy early and wear often! You only get to wear them for such a short amount of time, enjoy it! I loved maternity pants!!! I still miss them today. They are soooo comfy. My favorite were the underbelly (wide band of elastic all the way around)

Thanks everyone. I keep trying to feel something, but nothing yet. My OB asked me today if I was feeling anything and I said no. She said I should expect something between 18-20 weeks. Just a couple weeks until then! Yea!

Well I felt definite movement last night and a few minutes ago! I have been feeling occasional flutters for a few weeks but they feel the same as gas bubbles to me - so its hard to discern. And I could feel a little squirming on occasion w/ my hand. But last night it was unmistakable. And when I put my hand on my belly I couldn't really feel it except for a jab here and there. It was all "inside" but the thumps on my hands confirmed that baby was indeed moving around.

Leah - my only suggestion to "hurry up the feeling" is to lay on your bed w/ your hand on your lower abdomen for a while. And if you feel a thump on your hand then that will most likely be baby
