Hi Tina,
We have 2 boys with CF and they have both cultured PA at sometime within a year. Here is what we do...
There nebulizers are kept completely separate. I boil them separately after each use. I make sure their toothbrushes do not ever come near each other and they use seperate toothpaste to ensure no cross contamination. The boys have completely separate cups so they always know which one is their's. They do not sit by each other when they are doing any type of breathing treatments.
I will post more as i think of it.

Blessings,
Missa

Just wanted to chime in the Cipro can be really hard on the digestive system, so you might want to give her a probiotic. My daughter 5.5wcf takes probiotics daily and during antibiotics we double up until a couple weeks after antibiotcs.

Hope the Tobi/Cipro combo works well for her and she is feeling much better soon!

i'm really surprised they are not admitting her with all those symptoms. Sounds like a bad infection or something is brewing.... i'd think that they'd admit before it gets worse. cough, fever and losing weight. I would give it 2 weeks, and if you don't see any improvement, you're not going to and you probably will need iv drugs. my baby has done both the cipro and tobi. I agree with the other posters, wash the nebs good it has a lot of residue, and ask the doc to prescribe florastor because with the strong antibiotics you can kill all the good bacteria in your digestive tract and end up with c.dif or something.

best of luck, and pm me, i have 3 with cf... trying to meet more parents with multiple cf kids.
