Thanks for the info. Ds had a follow up with ent dr. today and his nasal polyp has left which is great. The dr. did say he should have what he called a DNA probe for cystic fibrosis, which I think is the genetic testing and he gave us a prescription to have this done.

So hopefully we'll know more soon.

I personally think giving another one of your kids the results of the sweat test, especially since it was positive, rather than waiting until he could speak to YOU, was very unprofessional. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">

I would make a list of all questions and concerns you have before you go in for the appointment, as it's so easy to get off track while you are asking questions or answering their questions, and then realize later that you haven't talked about everything you wanted to.

He has a lot going on that could be significant. I'd be sure to talk about the reflux and stomachaches as well as the sinus & respiratory stuff.

As with folione, our first clinic visit was veryyyyyy long, 3+ hours and then a chest X-ray and blood work. Genetic testing as well as a repeat sweat test were ordered. We saw nurse, doctor, nutritionist, social worker and respiratory therapist- who did PFT's and taught us how to do chest PT.

I hope the appt goes well.
