Fitness Model with CF

Thought you all might want to check out this site. Dottie Lessard is a 37 year old woman who has Cystic Fibrosis, and had a double lung tranplant as well as a kidney transplant 14 years ago. She is a fitness model, as well as a motivational speaker.

She also has a program that provides home exercise equipment, swim/gym memberships, to children from the ages of 3-18 with Cystic Fibrosis and/or children who are awaiting/received an organ transplant.

Might be worth a read!

She is a nice lady. I posted this a few months ago under the transplant section. Is this where you found her site?

My stepdad was reading an article about her in the current issue of 'Oxygen'. I got the website from him earlier today.

Thanks for posting this. After looking over her site, it makes me realize that my 3 and 5 year old could be exercising more. I plan on e-mailing her. Thanks!

This is one of the reasons why I posted this. I thought it could help younger people with CF become more active! She does have a program for it.

Thank you for posting this. I emailed her to see what requirements she has to get maybe a trendmill or something for the kids for winter when we can't get out. I did not know about this program.
