Fixing my voice

I have been dealing with this since December!

My ENT first suggested nasal washes, and that helped a lot! Apparently, my sinuses were draining down the back of my throat, but not so much that it bothered me and I didn't notice. Now, he says that there is still some inflamation, and that it may be acid reflux. I already take Nexium, but I am going to ask my GI next time about what my options are.

In the meantime, I am going to start my nasal spray again, since my sinuses were also inflamed, to the point where I thought I had a sinus infection because of the sinus headaches/face pain. I hope you find an answer soon .

Thanks guys!!!

I don't talk too much at work mainly because I feel like I am straining to do so and I feel like an a*s when I do talk.

I am starting the nasal rinses this week so MAYBE that will help and if I don't sound better by the time I go to clinic end of this month I am asking him to refer me to an ENT!!!

This is a thought in the meantime....try gargling with warm salt water. If its junk sitting in your throat it will help break it up, if its inflammation then it will help take it down.

Worse that happens is.....nothing!

Sounding a little "Horse", Amy?

JazzysMom has a good suggestion...I can add to it to try gargling with Tea, Lipton would do...not sure why, other than I heard the tea helps prevent colds, even just by gargling with it....

However, the salt does decrease inflammation as well.

Hope you feel better soon, having a mousy voice isn't a comfortable feeling, at least at work I don't think.
