Flu shot... Do you get one?

My doctor considers me in a high risk category; so she always encourages me to get a flu shot. I've never had a problem after other than maybe a sore arm.

Yes, I do get the flu shot. Sometimes a get a little feverish the first two-three days and a sore arm, but other than that I've never had a major reaction.

NEVER!!! I only got it once (half a dose) when I was a child, so did my mom, and we both got the worst flu ever.
Since then, I never take it.

Usually, Micah gets the shot and the rest of the family does not. I homeschool everyone other than Micah, so school is a MUCH bigger risk for him than our house. He's never gotten the flu from the shot before. However, this year, his PCP is saying he doesn't want him to get the flu shot because he is immunocompromised. I have to call his CF center and have his CF doctor weigh in. I'm not sure how avoiding the shot is going to help him, given the devastation influenza could do to him instead. Normally, I'm a firm believer in my CFer having the flu vaccine. I'm not sure what the best way to proceed this year is when his WBC count is so low in the first place.

I do not get the flu shot. It irritates my CF doctor but it is my decision. I have only had the flu once in my life.
