Hey Lynda!
I just wanted to say that is ridiculous. My husband just had to fill out his FMLA paperwork when I was admitted in May and the doctor did not bill me anything. I do know the nurse filled everything out because she showed me what she wrote and if I thought it was okay. She then just had my doctor sign it.

What stinks is I know we were told we would have to keep getting ours redone every couple of months so that would be awful to have to pay every time. Just one more thing to worry about <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">. I would definitely bring it up next clinic visit <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">. Ginger

You may already know this, but you can also do an intermittent FMLA. Alot of people are not aware of this, but my mom does it for her migraines. I also had an employee a couple of years ago who did it during her chemo and radiation. It allows you to use a day here and there, or even an hour or two as needed. You don't have to redo the paperwork for each incident. Just thought I would mention it in case you had never heard of it. Good luck!!!

That's what we did. The FMLA had a box for intermittent and something else. We checked intermittent.


Thank you for the responses. It just irks me, I have had 2 hospitilizations in the last month, have to go in 2-4X a week for blood checks (lab & then see a doctor) due to a blood clot that was in PICC vein, so when all these bills start rolling in, it's not going to be pretty. This $20 on top of everything else was just the icing on the cake. Someone must need to make their Mercedes payment I guess?
