For Diane or Anyone that has liver problems and is on anti depressants.

you mentioned in a post that u were taking zoloft and were a cfrd er.
I was wondering if you have a high liver count or if you talked to your doctor about those drugs hurting people with liver problems, because they can and the prescription guides tell doctors to use extreme caution when giving to these people
I am goin to get some emotional help but I dont want a medicene that could risk the health I do have left.

Ps If anyone else knows about this or anything I can take that wont hurt my liver please let me know. I have a high liver count and im scared to death of damaging it.

So far as i know, my liver is fine. I was started on zoloft while i was still in the hospital right after my second embolization, and there were lots of blood tests taken while i was there, so if something would have been out of whack, they wouldnt have put me on it. Ive had blood tests after that and everything is fine still ( thank God). Unfortunately every medicine has the potential to harm something in your body, they all have one side effect or another. I can understand your reluctance to take anything, discuss it with your doctor and maybe he or she may have something better for you. Just make sure to get some form of help so you can feel better <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Good luck,

Well I used to be on zoloft, but I was on actegal at the time. It helps to reduce the inflammation in your liver. I have since stopped the zoloft as I felt I didn't need it anymore but will always have to take the actegal.

I was on zoloft and it didn't hurt my liver I too take actigol...Jus throw the anti-depressents away i tried several they did nothing but make me realize that i really wasn't depressed just had to change living style a little...get off my ass and quit feeling sorry for my self...got started living instead of worrying about dyin.
