For those on Oxygen

All I can offer is what my doc told me before my transplant when I would complain to him about what you are talking. To me I just felt like I wasn't getting enough air.

He told me if I feel starved for air or like I am not getting enough to bump my O2 up a liter and see if it helped. He said that most likely for whatever I was doing I was not getting enough oxygen.

I would maybe ask your doc what he thinks if it is something that bothers you though and see what he says.

When my lung function was still in the 30's and I was wearing O2, my O2 sats were about 98 with O2 on and I would still get out of breath. Even though you are getting the O2 that you need, the lungs can still be a piece of ***** and make you SOB. Any "healthy" person can have a great lung function and still get out of breath occasionally, it's just the way the lungs are working.

If you feel like you need more O2 though, ask the doctor about it and maybe increase it a little to see if it helps.
