Foul smell in sinuses? Sinus surgery 5/23

You might need abx. I always find that when my nose smells funny, it's an infection of some kind. I have the same thing right now. It's not an all the time thing, but when I sniff just properly, I can smell something gross in my right nostril. Blech.

Check with your sinus doctor as it does sound like things aren't fully back to normal post-surgery. For reference it took me about 3 months to heal and clear up after my surgery. For several visits post-surgery the doc gave me a 'professional nose picking'. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> He had this instrument that he used to suck out crud (scabs and what not) from my sinuses - after numbing me up with a nebulized drug. It was really really gross and disgusting. If you looked, you could see the crud in the glass jar. He removed the gobs that were up past the accessible nose area, up in the sinus cavities. It wasn't a pleasant procedure if you can imagine. Maybe you need something like that to help clear things out so your sinuses can drain and flow.
