some friends invited us to water-park (there are other things to do also). Just wondering, is this a bad idea? Our daughter just turned a year. we will be visiting this water park on one of the busiest weekends of the year. what are the risks? i don't know if i can stomach her splashing around with a bunch of germy kiddos peeing and pooping their pants. I am trying not to be totally neurotic but don't want to take unnecessary risks with her health either.

what are your thoughts?
I am not one to suggest limiting much of anything because of the cf, within reason; however, I would avoid a one year old with cf in a water park kiddie pool. At that age they have just as much fun at home in a freshly filled kiddie pool.

The main risks are exactly what you might imagine, picking up a bacteria or virus in form of a respiratory infection or stomach bug.

I think it will be fine when she gets older, but it doesn't make much sense to bother with all the hassles and all the risk for a 1 ear old, who won't know the difference.

I agree, I don't limit myself at all, but EVERYTIME we go to the waterpark, I get sick and so does my 4 year old (he does not have CF). Never fails! I would take a rain check until she is a little older. Just my opinion though.
