Frustrated with CF Center

Hi all!
I'm new to this site, but I need some help! I'm a 23-years-old RN in MO and I'm getting really frustrated with my adult CF center. My pediatrician was so willing to work with me during college and was really quick to respond and involve me in my care. Now, I'm out of college and have been with the adult doctors for about 3 to 4 yrs. I'm frustrated with the adult doctors because they don't respond to my phone calls until the day after I leave them messages with my symptoms, and they don't keep me involved in my plan of care. Being a nurse myself, I want to be involved in my doctors thought process and treatment ideas. Also, I don't feel like the adult doctors treat my symptoms as aggressively as my pediatrician did.

Am I realistically demanding too much from my care center or could I find more upbeat, better communicating doctors elsewhere? And if so, where? I just want to be involved and feel like a person instead of just another adult CFer to treat. Is this the norm in adult CF care? I need all the input you all can offer- I'm so frustrated! Thanks <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
