What is your FEV1 and sats after hospitalization? That may be the best way to determine what is permanent and what can be improved as to your specific situation.

ugh it took the first sentence out of like 3 paragraphs I wrote and double posted it.

Anyways to sum it up: don't focus too much onoxygen after exercising, it is natural for them to go down with any pulmonary disease. If your concerned it might go down too low get a pulse-ox from REI, the added benefit to that is you can improve on your personal base-line.
- Keep doing what your doing, even if you don't see any immediate improvement. Your added exercise could be helping you out more than you realize, and if your up for it add even more onto it.

Hello Carly 23
Sounds like we have a couple things in common, Delta F508 and FEV1 31. This is what I do and it might help.
1. Well hydrated prior to neb. rx. Gotta thin that mucous!!
2. Use Hts to help cough mucous up and out. Gotta clean out those lungs. Usually takes me 1.5-2 hr. with AM RX.
1.5 hr. with pm rx. ; 1hr. mid day if on Cayston. Can not rush reb. Rx. Huff cough to get as much mucous out.
3. Exercise, gym 3 times a wk, have worked up to a 16 min. mile grade of 4.5 on treadmill for 2 miles, use O2 on demand 4 liters. Want to keep sats above 90 while on treadmill, monitor sats and HR during treadmill. Sats have actually improved over time, only drop to 93-94 on treadmill. Resting sats no O2, 97-98. Only use O2 with treadmill. Really push myself to do this, but I freel like that exercise for me is almost as important as the neb. rx. You need to get your Dr. appoval prior to doing such a exercise program going.
Good luck. Glad to answer any questions.
