Frustration

Oh Roy, best of luck with dealing with everything for you & Julie!! I know that feeling too well of wanting to get violent with anyone in a lab coat. TRY to resist. Beating the crap out of medical personnel doesn't usually end up in the best care, even though it would feel great!!!

We're praying for you guys and sure hope relief is on its way and things clear up quick enough to get Julie's new lungs.
Sending peaceful & hopeful & healing thoughts your way.

Those are definitely moments of great frustration! It is hard at times to look back at decisions made with the best information at the time and then later see some of the results most of which are totally out of our control that bring greater challenges. I will pray that the Lord continues to give you discernment as you work through the maze ahead of you. Sometimes it is hard to know what is the best decision -- you can only make the best decision you can with the information you have now -- I just wish sometimes I had the information that would be available in the future now -- but we cannot live in that world of false guilt with all of the "if only we had known." Keep hanging in there and what a blessing to see someone who is being so faithful and standing with his wife through it all! Will be praying!

Thanks guys for all of the support. If you want to really make matters worse, toss in grief stricken parents. I've been forced into conversations about: "Where are you going to bury her?" "Can we have a priest give last rights?" and a forced intervention from a family member I don't know who asked, "Are you keeping her alive for her or for you Roy?"

All the while, Julie was no where near the end. She's not in great shape but she is far from the end.

FYI....For the first time in 6 weeks, the doctors had her up and walking. A distance of 20 feet. May as well have been a marathon but steps in the right direction.

God will help me get her through this but I gotta be honest with you, the end of life crap is causing a divide that should be avoidable. I can't imagine what her parents are going through but you'd best believe, I'll do all within my power to ensure that there are no obstacles in her way. She's a tough, tough lady.

Thanks again for the support guys.
