WHOOPS! That was me with the Octopus idea!
Thought I would automatically be logged in when I replied...guess the "anon" function avoids all that!
Fred-
And, P.S. Lynda...if you DO win the lottery...can you keep me in mind, too?? A dollar goes a lot further over here! (It's also a lot further for the dollar to go here! LOL!)

It won't necessairly be once I go back to work things will be less stressful financially, but it will be when the babies are born (I hope this doesn't sound bad) and they qualify for some of mark's disability income (it's about $300 for all 3 of them), we might qualify for food stamps as a family of 5, and I get a raise for my 3 year mark in the military. It's like $98 more than what I'm making now. So things do look better for us, but that won't be all resoved and recieving benefits until about November time frame (just knowing from previous encounters how long it takes to process Food stamp applications and then to get benefits and same thing with social security).

We did some bad financial planning, I'm willing to admit that. But I can't go back in time, so I'm trying to fix it now We started cutting back on bills shortly after we found out it was triplets, but it just wasn't enough. Plus the tuition thing threw us for a loop, just found out about that in June, a little too late to do anything. A I hate to air dirty laundry, especially repeatedly... but this place has always been such a supportive place and I figured that everyone would understand and just be suportive (which they have!!), and I'm just feeling so stressed and worried by it that I know myself and it helps for me to "talk it out", so that's what I'm doing.

Thanks to al for listening and for the advice!

Fred, you dork, I figured that post might be from you. It seems Fredish.

I'll keep you in mind too lynda . Although, I think you have to actually buy the tickets to win so I wouldn't count on it from me.

Dyahahaha!
sometimes being too analytical becomes so absent-minded! (sounds like a quote from Albert Einstien, Thomas Edison, or someone of that calibur!)

Hi Julie, not sure I will be of much help either but here goes....is there an Emergency Infant Services in your area? They will help out with diapers, wipes, clothing....or whatever related to babies.
How about a discount diaper store?
Have you considered making a PayPal account for yourself and posting your info on this site for those of us that might want to make a monetary donation to the cause? (Cause you need help) lol...

Hey Julie. We have actually refinanced our home a few times. It's been a while and I don't really remember all the details. Our loan is through a credit union. Our initial loan was for a 30 year. We refinanced when the rates dropped to get a lower monthly payment, but we kind of had to start all over again. Granted, we were only a few years into the mortgage anyway, so I didn't make that much difference, but we had to start the 30 year mortgage over again and we also had to pay some costs (can't really remember what they were). It seems like they were closing costs, but I don't remember how much it was. The second time we refinanced, we didn't have to go through that whole process. I don't recall having to pay anything either, but we may have had to start the 30 years over again. Too many years ago for this old brain to remember (lol). But it was definitely worth it to get a lower monthly payment.

As far as trying to work at home; good luck. I've been trying to do this since I quit my full-time job in 2003. I did join a website (hea-employment.com) to try my luck. You're able to post your resume information and also check their job postings. I did have to pay a small fee to join. But again, I haven't had any luck finding anything, so don't really know if it would be worth it. What ever you do, don't pay to do work at home. More so than not, those "jobs" are scams. I did a lot of checking before I joined the employment site, but still don't know if it is worth it. A lot of those jobs out there ask you to pay for a "kit" or for something else and then say you will be reimbursed or paid after the fact. Avoid those!!

So, you have to pay for the upkeep of your uniforms? That seems a bit ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for our military service, but it seems like the military should be the ones to provide uniforms and their upkeep.

I wish I could think of something that would help you guys. There have been a lot of good suggestions on here. I just can't think of anything. What if someone sent in a story about you to the local paper. That way, it wouldn't be you giving your story. If somebody else submitted it, you would have no knowledge of it and would have no control over that.

Good luck.

Debbie, I've got a phone number for something in my area called Love, inc. They aren't open again until Tuesday so I'll try to contact them. They help with diapers, wipes and such. I'll see if they can help us, that's a great idea.

I did put a donation page on my website (it's at the very bottom of all the navigation pages). I put it at the bottom of all the "navigation bars" on each page because I didn't want to detract from the purpose of the website, first to inform/educate and then provide success stories (including ours), but if someone were to stumble upon it and see, then they could make their decision and know that we are asking for assistance to #1, keep the website running (it's not expensive, but right now it's the next thing to go) and then will be used to buy groceries. We also put a link to our registries, because some on here suggested some might be more inclined to buy an item, or a gift card for a store, than to give money (which I completely understand). Thanks for your post

Allisa, the military gives us uniforms in boot camp, and gives us a uniform allowance in boot camp, but then takes it away to pay for the uniforms they've given s. That's a huge one time allowance, and then for the first two years we get $265 for upkeep (new uniforms, some are dryclean only, when you make rank you have to have new patches sown on...) each year. But in a year, I spend much more than that, and I ONLY dryclean my uniforms for inspections. The rest of the time I wash/iron them myself. The blues (actually the are black????) aren't so bad because you can wear them for a while, but the whites are a nightmare. Especially when doing dr. office work, kids pucking on you, drawing blood and getting it on the uniform... I was my whites almost everyday sometimes. LOL. So, in a way they help pay for the upkeep, but it's certainly not enough. After two years of the $265 I get $450 (which is this year) YEAHHHHHHH, and from here on out I'll get that much, so it will be better. Thanks for the post, it's nice to know how many people care. I love this site for many reasons, but that's mainly one. I knew I could come here for some love, support, and a safe (sometimes ) place to vent.

Thanks everyone!!!
