G-tube formula suggestions?

The boys have done well on Nutrin 1.5 for several years. Now we're told it has been discontinued. Our health care company sent IsoSource as a replacement. We've had problems with that in the past, too thick and rich, but we tried it again.

Sure enough, poor Jesse had cramping and terrible gas all day yesterday. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">He pooped all day. We had given him enzymes before and after and even Viokase in the middle!

I'm going to call today to see what options they can give us, but I wondered what you all use. We've tried Iso Cal and Peptimin too.

OMG Jane I just through out 2 cases of that. My home agency nurse gave it to me thinking I would drink it .... NOT.....NASTY...GAG!

Even if I still had them tho it doesnt help you in the long wrong. UGGG sorry to hear this. I hope you can find something that works for ya!

Garran uses Resource Just for kids 1.5. He has done so much better on this than he ever did on the Two Cal HN that he used to be on. They have a few different ones but if you ask for it make sure you get the one with out fiber.

Garran says it doesnt taste bad either, and we have actually put some chocolate syrup in it and he has drank it that way.

Hope this helps.

My son uses Peptimen 1.5 and it is working great for him. I get it prescribed by the doc and comes from the same place and his supplies. Hope this helps. Kelly
