When I was younger (before I was diagnosed and shortly after) I had no issue gaining weight. I danced so I was big on eating healthy because that was part of dancing. Now I am 21 and I need to gain weight. I have never been strict about enzymes. I will go forever without taking them. I just accept the repercussions of what happens with certain things I eat and not taking them. My RD has just told me to eat any and everything...just gain weight. This doesn't work well for me. My husband needs to lose weight and I know that if I could diet with him it wouldn't be an issue, but he needs about 1,700 kcal and I need about 3,000 kcal. I have told my dr that one of my fears is gaining too much weight and I often opt for the healthier choices such as whole wheats, fruits/veges. bakes over fried. I do eat my junk food, but its not really enough to amount to what I need. So, I had this wild idea to try to gain weight in a more healthy way. I don't want to restrict myself, but I want to figure out how to establish a nutrient dense, energy dense eating plan. I think that if I approach weight gain this way, along with working out, I will feel a little more comfortable allowing myself to gain weight...and actually taking my enzymes...<div><br></div><div>So what are some good nutrient dense, energy dense foods/meal ideas?</div>
