sounds like this should be the name of a book...hehe

well i actually do have questions... gas. ew. i hate IT! how do i get rid of it? haha i take antiacid meds in the morning and at night if thats any consolation. and when its 'that time of the month' i wear sweatshirts everday for week because im so bloated i feel like im going to blow at any second.

and then theres the stretch marks... when i was younger i was tiny skinny, but now im normal 5' 6'' 125-130 lbs. but i gained all that weight in like 2 months I SWEAR... haha and i gained all these really gross stretch marks on my but and inner thighs, as well as a little on my love handles. they are clear indents like in my skin, its horrible. and they're red. i put coco butter lotion on them all the time- no luck.

help!?

Well if you have darker pigment, stretch marks will be more prominent. it's just how the skin deals with rapid stretching.... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

but you're healthy. so that's something to be proud of <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Ah, to be 17 again. Relax kiddo, you're in good shape and those stretch marks, well, we all can't look like an airbrushed model in Vogue. Most teens hate their bodies, but in the grand scheme of things, looks are a moot point.

Instead of wasting time with creams and lotions for the stretch marks, do some exercising to build muscle and tone.

Antacids target acid reflux, not quite the gas. Are you sure your enzymes you're taking are working for you? Smaller, more frequent meals might help. Some foods just make us naturally gassy.

I've had good luck with Gas-X when it's particularly bad along with the bloating. Cutting back on carbonated beverages and extremely high fat foods (french fries) helped a lot too.

i understand the whole love my body thing, and no one's perfect. believe me i do. but these stretch marks are really bad. i've had people ask me if im a cutter! swim season for me is a bikini top and skirt. i cant wear the bottoms, its just easier not to. the only thing that i've found helps a little is a tan, so whenever i can be alone/with close friends/family, i'll wear a bikini bottom instead of a skirt. but i can't even wear shorts to practice, i have to wear skorts!

The truth-
you don't know gas and stretch marks till you are pregnant.....<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">

My sister went through puberty rapidly, an A to a D cup in only a few months. She has stretch marks on her boobs, her butt, and her thighs basically stretch marks are scars on the body. Coco butter is supposed to help though afaik there hasn't been many/any studies on this.

I know that scar removal cream (mederma whatever it's called) is supposed to help, but it's rather expensive. Other than that there's laser removal, but they should fade naturally after a year or two. It sucks but it happens to the best of people. If it makes you feel better go tanning or get some of that rub on tan stuff so it's not so noticable to you. If it really really bothers you bring it up to your doctor, who might have better suggestions.
