I don't have gastroparesis, but I do hope that you get the answers so that you can be treated. You are in my thoughts, hugs Jenn <img src="i/expressions/rose.gif" border="0">

Hey Aimee,

I had gastroparesis about 4 years ago. It was awful -- my symptoms were constant nausea and vomiting -- I lost 16 lbs. before it finally worked itself out and left my system. Anyway, I took Nexium and a medication that begins with the letter "R" -- can't remember the name of it. But the Nexium worked really well for me.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions. Good luck at the doctor.

Aimee!
I just had a stomach emptying study last week to see if I have gastroparesis...After reading a little more about this I swear I have it...I cannot eat a full meal, I am always full, when I do eat it hurts so bad right under my left ribcage, always bloated, burp a ton and just feel uncomfortable all day and night long. So we will see what the test results say but I cannot wait to get this taken care of.

How is yours doing? Did you start any meds for it yet? Luckily for me I don't feel naseaus or vomit..do you?

Keep me posted on what you come up with, I'll do the same.
Rock CF,
Emily

I have been struggling with this since Sept., I have had every test done, I swear, none of the meds worked for me. I have had to learn what I can eat that won't cause the pain and bloating and I GRAZE all day on food. I have cut out all meat and fatty foods. I can tell immediately if something i eat affects me. My Doctor suggested "Colon Hydrotherapy", my Doctor is one of the best and he has had other peolple do this. I think it is starting to work, I can tell after I get it done it takes two to three days uintil I am not miserable and then i get somewhat regular. I use senecot tablets 3 a night and if i get real constipated, i use 15. This is safer than alot of Miralax, which I was on 1 gallon a day a few months ago. Look up the colon hydrotherapy and good luck!
